hi everyone, my first post so please be gentle with me. my question is this < last september i started working for a kitchen and bathroom fitting firm .i am the only electrician working for then and on average i install and test 4 or 5 bathrooms a week
.all my jobs are to current 17th edition regs and all test certs are filled in correctly .i have just found out that my boss has not notified building control about any of the jobs !!! who is in trouble ? me or him ?

Hi.

Depends on who is noted as the Principal Duty Holder/Qualified Supervisor with the scheme provider.

Or are you saying that the company is not a member of a scheme, NIC, Elecsa, NAPIT etc???

i would suggest your boss will take the wrap! but you may get a knucke dusting if it comes to it!!

but i would probbaly stop talking about it! get registered and hope nothing comes from it!! consider it a lesson in life!

Have building control just found out about this or do they not know???

You could be in a spot of bother and I would wager that it will be your swede on the block as you are the spark who should really have known that if the company was not a member of a Part P scheme you should have been notifying building control BEFORE you started any work.

On the other hand SOME LABC's will be happy to accept your certs if you show them your quals 2391 included.
