I am, I am on call to drive teenagers about and basically be a bleeding taxi for the whole evening, will be a late sober one that's for sure.

sort of. me and missus are down in Leeds. have been since yesterday. staying at a hotel and went out for a meal last night.table booked for tonight also. tomorrow we are going to visit friends in Gainsborough and they are talking us out for a meal. we travel back tomorrow evening.

same here. and then try getting a taxi after midnight. if you manage to get one, it's double fare. sod that. waste of good ale money.

and paying the extortionate entrance fee's, pay a fiver any weekend and £25/30 tonight just to get in, its drinks at home/ house party best bet for new year!!

Had a night out and a hotel booked to celebrate in style and the halfwit of a daughter has forgotten to tell us that she was working tonight, and that we have child minding duties. As you can imagine, I’m suitably impressed. Grrr!!!!

Dubai prides itself on setting records. Tonight the United Arab Emirates city state will try to gain yet another mention in the Guinness Book of World Records. Weather permitting, Dubai will attempt to crush the current record held by Kuwait for the largest fire works display. We are talking about more than 450000 fireworks from over 400 different locations across 60 miles in just 6 minutes. It will require 100 computers to synchronize the detonation of microchip-embedded pyrotechnics with a choreographed musical soundtrack. So far, more than 200 expert technicians have put in more than 5000 hours of work to ensure that the fireworks timing is accurate down to the millisecond. The display will adorn the Dubai sky with never seen before elements like a 225 meter wide and 130 meter high UAE flag. Let’s hope they can pull that off. I was in Edinburgh for the millennium and that was pretty impressive so this should blow my mind.

House party for me. Spent four years working the doors on new year, nothing whatsoever appeals to me about going out, dealing with twice as many nobheads, paying extortionate entrace fees, being stuck in a queue in the howling wind and pouring rain at midnight etc... Just come back from Tescos, spent far too much, the majority of which on Jagermeister and Red Bull! Gonna get wasted in comfort with the comany of friends!

I was staying in due to living other side of the city from most of my friends and taxis being a rip off, but just found out they are going to a pub that's 10 minute walk from my front door so be rude not to join them.

Just dropped the nephew and his dj gear off + helped him set up now at home then have to go and pick him up around 3 am....... party at home till then. Happy New Year Everyone
