Anybody got any idea of current polls or the likely number of seats for each party based on the polls

Assuming both Labour and the Conservatives both get 34% of the votes, Labour will get more seats (this is because up north there are more, Labour voting smaller constituencies). Neither would have a majority, and Labour would need the SNP to get over 50% of all the seats

Anyway, whoever wins, lets hope they inquire into the child abuse monsters who they have conveniently covered up amongst themselves in previous parliaments
They need to be open and honest about what they collectively allowed to be swept under the carpet time after time because of political clout
Respect for these cretins seeking our votes will only come when they have learned that humanity and justice does not stop at the doorstep of that parliament

But no actual estimated figure of seats. How far short are both parties likely to be. The DUP/UUP have came out and said they don't care who wins they'll sell their seats to whoever offers the most to NI. They are likely to get 10 seats.

After that almighty snub given to the Irish by excluding them in that debate, they need owe allegiance to no party
I say good on them for doing what is best for their own people and to try and screw every pound off whoever needs them post election

in historic terms, due to the uk boundaries, for the Conservatives to win a majority, they need about a 6% lead over Labour, but, with UKIP taking votes off both sides, nobody really knows.

just look at the poll at the top of this thread, with fewer Labour votes than Conservative, yet UKIP Have far more. I would of expected a clear lead for Labour, so if this plays out on the 8th May lord knows what the outcome will be.

The DUP/UUP you know these guys wouldn't appreciate being called Irish. :13:

perish the thought. the UK run by a bunch of incompetents and sweaties.
Oh aye perish the thought indeed.
i liked today's blackening on Nicola sturgeon with she said ( allegedly)

i woukd ratherdiamond dave than mr ex than prime minister !,,llll
balls for a start cos she is too sharp a politico to say that ****e for a start
the general public in scotland will notbe conned twice with all this pony( as in cockney parlance)
if you take50 odd seats in escosse.labour will win 0 % percent of these seats that's a given .
you have a considerable minority calling the shots wether you boys like it or not.
i do believe that excluding the Northern Irish parties from the debates is undemoratic in my eyes.

Really,... The same Tony Blair that let hundreds of IRA Terrorists walk free from prison, destroyed the economy, opened immigration floodgates and went to war with Iraq over weapons of mass destruction that didn`t exist ...

First choice would be Nigel Farage or 2nd stick with Cameron.. Nobody else even comes close

You really do need to swot up on the homework. You seem to have a knack for getting everything arse about face, or just choose to ignore facts!! I'd love to hear your reasoning behind how Blair destroyed the economy, that's going to have to be an absolute cracker??

As for Nigel Farage, be very careful on what you wish for, it may not be what you are expecting, and could easily turn round and bite your Arse!!

My biggest worry if the Tory/UKIP get in for the next term, it's the opening of the Pandora's Box (and the numerous cans of worms therein) of leaving the EU.
I don't even pretend to understand the ramifications of leaving the EU, but I know it's considerably more involved than a few 100 thousand immigrants and whether one's banana is within the 3 degree regulation of curvature for yellow coloured fruit.

The thought of 4 million extra people on the dole scares the bejebuz out of me. Mr Nissan has already said that if we leave the EU he's off like a dirty shirt, that's 100,000 jobs gone in the north east overnight.

Switzerland and Norway operate perfectly well outside the EU, in fact they abide by most of the rules except the open doors policy.

Iceland have just decided not to continue to negotiate to join the EU.

As for leaving, I don't believe Ferage, nor the others and least of all the EU. I was in the audience of the Ferage/Clegg debate on the BBC last yea and it was obvious to us all in the audiance that neither side were telling the whole truth - why would they? they are Politicians.

The UK is the 2nd largest contributor so the EU won't want us to go......

This link gives some simple stats for 2013:

EU budget: what you need to know - Telegraph

The EU is socialism through the back door, whether we like it or not, and the reason so many countries want to join is because they are all poor and will get out far more than they put it. Its a bit like you changing jobs, with a huge payrise, for doing exactly the same thing.

Interestingly all new countries have to join the Euro, but the "older ones" such as Poland have decided not to join the Euro zone - so its all a bit of a mess IMHO and the fact the "takers" can ALWAYS out vote the "givers" is where they need to start, when it comes to reform.

As for the Conservatives doing a deal with UKIP - I simply don't see that happening. More likely, a 2nd coelition with the Liberals as no one party is going to get a majority.
