Anns Chooks

Hi guys I jumped straight in and started posting and then found this!! So thought I'd better say hello. As you guessed my names Ann and I keep and occasionally show traditional breeds of poultry, namely for anyone in the know, Large Fowl Brahma's in a variety of colours and Blue Orpingtons.

Im no stranger to forums, but usually poultry ones. I didn't actually loose my way but came with a specific question and as it seemed appropriate to what you do on here I posted it.

I live in North Notts around the Newark area and look forward to saying hello to a whole bunch of new folks.

I'd just like to say what a really nice friendly place you guys and [hopefully] gals have made this forum. A forum is a reflection of its membership and this one is no exception, a fine example of what a good forurm is all about. Thank you all for the help given me and for the welcomes that keep coming in. Just a shame you don't talk chook, you'd never get rid of me!!!

i've got a great recipe for chicken. you stuff it with a can half full of beer (or cider, if you prefer),having drunk the other half, and cook it upright. the beer partly evaporates and flavours and moistens the chicken, yummy.

Hahaha funny you should mention that Tel, that's what we had for T the other night. So impressed i took a photo of my birds culinary skills. About 2 mins after this photo it was skidding across the work top and boiling hot cider
pooring every where after we'd tried to take the can out of it's arse! IMG00142-20110725-1906.jpg

That wasn't the sort of chook talk I had in mind!!

Mine are worth a lot more alive than dead. I've just brought a cockerel down of his bath tonight, he's very tatty from moulting and very dirty too.
