why you need to balance a three phase systems and what a unbalance load does?

Hi everyone i'm currently halfway through my cg2330, i wonder if somebody can help me on balance and unbalance load on a 3 phase systems
the basics i needs only , they are split into single phases systems i want know about efficiency, running costs, cable and switchgear sizes advantages etc..

Neutral currents perhaps???

Back to the dark days of college that now seems like eons ago.......If you have unbalanced loads you may have problems with;
one or more phases getting close to or over the primary over current protective device (service fuse).
Higher neutral currents than the csa of neutral cable can handle.
Inefficient running of motors.
Cost from dno for power factor correction?
