Wide SDS Chisel

Hello Guys,

Just read a thread on chiselling in back box, and been looking at wide sds chisels, are they any good, are there any particualr brands you stick by?

Hi Tom

got some really cheap tat years ago and they've gone through many houses, factories and the odd engineering brick and still fine.

So I wouldn't (in my humble experience) pay too much.

Armeg. I have the "Hard Material" wide chisel, but the one I use the most is their scutch chisel - that one I wouldn't be without.

Armeg are good, but Heller are as good and cheaper. Forum won't accept the link, check the Toolstation catalogue or website.

I've had a heller Sds max wide chisel for years.still in good nick

I have the armeg wide hard material chisel which is pretty good and is the same width as a single back box, so is quite easy to use. Because it's for hard material you have to be careful on softer materials.
