Hello: I am a DIY'er and recently read an article about using wire nuts. Person stated that the wires should not be pigtailed prior to placing the nut. This was not an add for newer connectors. Should wires be pigtailed prior to placing a wire nut?

Thank you.

I’m trying to understand what you actually mean but I have had no problems pig tailing especially ground wires so I can ground the box and device that is being installed. Do not use wire nuts on wire bigger than # 10, use split bolts.
