I have a request from a customer who basically wants a number of LED floods installed. However he wants it set up that all the lights come on when any PIR picks up motion.

1 light will be a lot more labour intensive than the rest, but he's looking the sensors in awkward locations in regards ease of wiring and also wants minimal disruption in the house due to his wife being bed bound.

I have seen some systems online, one runs on battery and another on power but sends the signal to a receiver. Either will suffice as there is options for power, just lack of suitable options for minimal disruption regards cabling between sensors and lights directly.

Any of you good folks ever used these before and could recommend anything.

At at moment I think it's 4-5 lights with 4-5 sensors to control them I'm looking at. Hopefully 4+4.

The simplest way would be 4 independent individual PIR floods. However he wants the lights High and sensors all much lower, plus all to switch on together.

This is where I need your advice as I've not used any of these wirefree systems to know if they work. Or would be suitable for the customers requirements.

If if the receiving box was in the loft would the signal be strong enough to reach? Or does there need to be a direct line of sight?

Hello Phil. Beware of the dreaded call back when you install wire free stuff.
I try to avoid fitting pir floods due to them sometimes not working how they should. I try to install a switch where i can or sometimes a photocell which incorporates a timer set for 2, 4, 6, or 8 hours or dusk till dawn.

Thanks for the help guys. Will put these points forward. Along with the prices. The wirefree stuff seems quite a bit more expensive than std so that may have a big influence on its own. Will let you know the answer.

You would have thought they'd have a switch to flick on and off to engage an override. Not on each PIR but an actual light switch
