wireing issue

If wiring two sockets vertical to each other do you take the second leg to the bottom socket around or behind the back box of the top socket.

I'm only asking because the building inspector made me change the wiring to go behind the back of the top socket.

Seems abit harsh if you are keeping the cable tight to the backbox, was he a bit of a jobsworth?

Could you not have taken the cable through the back box of the top socket rather than behind it?

It would be to tight to take it trough the top box when doing second fix, the cable was no further than 15mm away from the KO box, but he said it was not to building regs. At the end of the day only frank spencer would drill a cable 15mm from a socket outlet

Could you not ring the top socket and spur the lower one off it?
