Hi guys,

I'm a complete newbie to electrics and need help wiring a light I've just had bought for me.

Here is a picture of the existing fitting, with the old light still wired in:

And here is a picture of the new light that I need to wire up:

I have read the instructions, but to be honest they don't make sense. I have a degree in Computer Science and I still don't understand this stuff! :-/

Any help or advice is much appreciated.

Nick

best advice from sintra nick. maybe if you posted your town on here one of the members would come round and give you a price. better to have it done safely and know it`s not going to cause you any hassle or worse

I'd say about £25-£30 if you were in my city.. But to come from east mids to west mids is abit of a drive for me.

same with me. i'm in cheshire. surely there's a spark in brum can help him out for £30

3 reds from centre into far right terminal on your new light

2 blacks from the left into the N terminal on your new light

all CPC's to earth terminal on your new light

and the 1 red on its own from your old into the L terminal on your new light

unless you have already taken the old fitting down and cant remember what goes where then yeah get somebody in :)
