Wiring a shower

Are all showers of a 40amp breaker and out of your board do u just got straight out to your shower isolator close to shower because someone told me you have another isolator local to the board and is it best to wire in 6 mm unless it's over 8 kw or abouts?

Sorry that's wat I was ment to type but yeah that's the sum is it? And how can u calc the cable size?

So you are prob just best putting an rcd breaker in the board really for the shower if not an rcd board

it all depends on whats available, if its an old board then a rcbo wont fit so you would fit a seperate rcd shower unit, if its a newer board fit an rcbo or use a rcd protected way on board.
