Hi all,

just though i'd get your thoughts on this before i turn up on site and realise i don't have the materials for the job. Having to wire a new external boiler on a bungalow, the cable runs to the boiler will be easy enough as its a raised floorboard floor.

Not sure how to come out with the cables and into the boiler. Can you go directly out and into the enclosure, and would it need to be heat resistant flex when it does this. Or do they have a nylon gland on the enclosure, that I should come through the wall in a weatherproof box and run to the boiler in conduit?

This is a first for me so help appreciated!

Did a job myself recently the same as yours:

2.5 t/e from seperate 16a mcb in house main 17th edtion CU to single IP56 rated outdoor 13amp socket, fitted recomended fuse in plug ie;3 or 5amp as per boiler spec all ok.

A FCU of the same spec can be used if preferred

Hope this helps:)
