Hi,
I'm wondering if I can wire In an additional brake light bar. I have a caravan that has twin filament bulbs. I'm looking to add in a break light bar. Is this possible by splicing into the existing system

I would imagine that they are all 12 volt if it’s for a car , you just need to get the + and - the correct way round and splice it in parallel with the existing lamp connections

I haven't taken the rear light out yet but if there is only 2 wires going there that will be ok to splice into?
If the existing lamps are twin filament, then there will be three wires going to each of them. Two to the contacts on the base of the lamp and one to the metal base.
The wires you want are the one that goes to the brake lamp filament, usually red, and the one that goes to the metal base, which may be one wire for all the lamps in the cluster, and is often white.
