I have an old thermostat with the following wiring, according to the diagram in the box:
grey = neutral
brown = live
black = call
yellow/green = earth = not connected
The digistat 3+ that I am installing has three terminals: C, ON, OFF.
OFF = not used
ON = ?
C = ?
I will isolate and make safe the neutral and earth wires. Which wire connects to ON and which to C? I am assuming C = live, brown and ON = black, call. Can someone please reassure me before I go ahead
Will the new thermostat in the hall turn on/off both the boiler and the pump if I leave the control unit next to the boiler to ON all the time and then use the new thermostat in the hall to do the timing? At the moment I just have a temperature sensor in the hall and then the timing is done at the control unit next to the boiler.
Thanks.
