quoted for a job which is for a flat conversion
ground 1st and 2nd have timber floors and ceilings etc
and they are currently digging out the basement now.

The basement floor is going to be the lower floors of 2 duplexes

I have never actually seen how this is done yet alone wire it!

whats involved regarding running cables/chasing/routing etc

similar to standard extension.....cap cables to walls and then usually dot and dabbed over?

what will the basement ceiling/walls be build from etc

cheers

Conduits under the floor prior to concrete base going in duct for Mains

You will definiately need to know the construction method and wether the walls are to be tanked , and fast too , so as to lease with the builders regarding cable routes etc and also the fixings if tanking is taking place , I had a job where the walls could not be drilled due to this issue

let assume its going to be tanked
wire it in steel conduit and singles for both lighting and power- conduit fixed to whatever the walls and floor is prior to it being tanked?

right ideal?

Exactly that mate. nearly everyone I have done has used this system them MF wall in front and plasterboard. Then use dryline boxes or noggins and KO boxes.
Pete nearly made me order a few bundles of steel conduit and few hundred meters of singles!!!! ;)
- i know i obviously have to confirm with the builder what they will be doing- but i would assume being 2017 and in London it will likely be the metal and p.board
