hi all, i am about to wire up my shed, its integral to the property, the meter cupboards are next to the shed so i can run a supply through the wall. there will 4 2 gang sockets, bulk head in there and a switched spur for outside light. i'm going to run out from the rcd side of the board using a 32amp mcb. the shed will be wired in singles, trunking and conduit. is this ok to do? was talking to a mate and he was a little unsure as to whether this is ok, i cant see any reason as to why not. is it best to just use the mcb on the rcd side of the board or fit an rcbo instead? this will be used as part of the elecsa assessment.

thanks for any suggetions

you can run from CU MCB a ring (32A)or radial (16A) RCD protcted at CU, FCU in shed for internal and extenal lights

if you use 32A then your circuit in shed must be a ring. if you want to have it as a radial use a 16A. whichever you use, must not share breaker with another circuit. check your potential load on sockets to see if you need a ring. alternatively, you could run 4mm T/E radial.but rem to FCU at 5A for lighting

Given that, it probably makes sense to TT the shed, unless you can be sure it doesn't act as an extraneous-conductive-part. (The SWA won't have...
