We have a new oven ( Amica 601ce1.333ydg (w) and the wiring is a little different apparently, it has small holls for the cable (which will not fit neatly around, it seems too big) and when you unscrew the cable clamp screw the bolt comes off from the other side ?
Any ideas annd anyone fitted these ovens before?

From memory the last one I did had a standard 6 way, screw terminal, box and the cable clamp was secured by a self-tapping screw. i don't remember there being any difficulties or unusual features.

oh the issue is the cable seems too large for the holes and wen u unscrew the screw the bolt comes off from behind

I managed to terminate 6mm[SUP]2 [/SUP]T&E without difficulty and I reckon I could have terminated 10mm[SUP]2 [/SUP]T&E if needed. The core ends were formed in rings and captured under the terminal screw heads. You could crimp fork or ring terminals on to the core ends if you prefer and capture those under the screw heads if that's easier. What cable are you trying to terminate? Where are the holes you are on about? Bolts? Does your terminal box have back nuts on the terminal screws? If so apply minimal downward pressure on the screw head when capturing the screw or tightening up.
