I am currently installing a domestic pv system. The present consumer unit and wiring are very outdated and the customer does not want the cost of a re wire and cu change. The plan is to fit a new garage board and split the meter tails into a Henly block. Will this be o.k for MCS inspection? Could anyone please advise me on were I could find a diagram or documentation to confirm this wiring method as all my training and reference material relates to connecting straight into the supply side of the consumer unit. Would reaaly appreciate any knowledge and experience, Thanks, Jude

Bs7671 has diagrams for the pv supply cable connected to the consumer unit and section712 covers this only. I wanted to know more about how to split the meter tails and wethrt this is acceptable for the MCS inspection or must I change all the electrical system.

Yes it is in principle acceptable, indeed one experienced poster here I think said it is the standard way they do it in order not to have to interfere with the consumer unit. The one point I would make is you still need to ensure the earthing and bonding for the installation as a whole is up to standard before you add to it.
Regards
Bruce
