Alright guys,

I've only wired up an oven once and it was with stranded t+E 6mil and it was a pain in the ****, can you use just solid cable or has it always got to be stranded?

I never use 6mm twin and earth ,i use 6mm heat resistant flex its great more flexible than TWE and not affected by the heat of the oven ,and connect to the connection plate

Ovens dont you just love em,a lot of them are very awkward to connect, screws fall off etc, swear at it,who invented the terminals,i think they are a bit dated and should have a more solid connection, the only good thing is diy joe will not normally try to connect them
