HiWe have a 400v 3phase door fan heater. My boss reckons we can still get both the heater and the fan to work on a 230v single phase supply. I disagree with him. I think that only the fan will work and im pretty sure your not allowed to loop in and out of the other phases to make this work.Who is right?
 
It should be installed to manufacturers instructions.

If an attempt is made to put the load on one phase then it either won't work, or if it does, you need to consider the demand being placed on that circuit.
 
During the winter especially when it's going to be on for long periods a day, it's a load to take.....asking for trouble if you ask me.
 
IMO To modify the circuitry for single phase you are messing with standards that cover the appliance.More costly to run ,larger cable,best put it back in the skip.!!!:gunsmilie:
