Hi
10 emergency Lights in a commercial building all wiring is going back to the board and one separate PIR out side, i understand Line Neutral and Earth back to the board and switch line to a key switch next to the board, there is no switches on this job.

A little help please.

Thanks

Mark

Sounds like permanent feeds from CU to EM lights. How will they be able to check EM lights without key switch unless they isolate power at the CU.What is the PIR for?

Hi
By law i would say you need a key switch to maintain the e/m lights you could take the feed from the board into the key switch and then back into the board, is there any drawing anywhere.

Thanks

Mark

Hi
The pir is on its own its like a little lantern the e/m lights should be on a key switch.

Thanks

Hi
I would take the feed into the key switch and from the key switch into the board this way you can cut the power, would you have two browns in the circuit.

Thanks

Mark
Yes mate, feed for normal lighting and permanent feed for the EM.The Em lights you are doing,do they incorporate normal lighting as well.

Hi mate, seriously confused now.Are all lights are on the roof with a PIR.Are they EM lighting or supposed to be triggered when someone goes on the roof:confused:

I would hazard a guess that these are in fact security lights which have battery backup so that should someone cut the feed then they will automatically light so it is a tamper function (maybe, could be wrong though:eek:)

Have they wired a photocell to the little outside lamp........needs further investigating i reckon as a pir on roof does not make sense?????

Hi
Yes its a photo sell plus a time clock never came across this before, 1 neutral, 1 earth and 2 browns at the board a key switch plus a time clock is this easy to terminate at the board.

Thanks

Mark
