Would like to say thank you to the old school on here done a fuse board change tested prior and found existing faults which included either arcing or wrong size cable 6mm to 9.5kw shower which is to small correct ? Also some neutrals and lives incorrect polarity at sockets. I have got to install a cooker circuit with a cooker load of 10.5kw according to the regs a 10mm cable is required ? Would think this is the same scenario for the shower am I within rights to disconnect shower and advise on downgrade of shower or upgrade of cable ??? Again thanks guys

more old school advice......

6mm is good for shower (just) as long as no de-rating due to insulation. and 6mm on a 32A MCB will handle the cooker easily (think diversity).

Thanks mate reasonably new to the game and still gettin to grips with different aspects I have my eleccsa assessment in 2 weeks time and the guys on here have helped my out no end with one thing and another keep lookin through all my books and stuff a gonna spend next half hour browsing diversity cheers mate

for a cooker. work out the amps from kW/volts. say that's 40A. then the design load is 10A + 30% or remainder, in this case 20A. add 5A if a socket outlet is incorporated.

Just looked at that telectrix in osg mate all makes sense now cheers and rewireable in shower is 45 amp :/

Off the top of my head that wont comply then. 6mm is good for 47A in perfect conditions, but given the derating factor for a 3036 device, it's not suitable.

EDIT: Hang on, you carried out a CU change, why is the shower on a rewireable fuse ?
