Hi all,
I would like some advice due to me running out of ideas.

Basically, I graduated from college with HND in electrical and Electronics about 2 years ago and I further spent more money on other courses like Siemens S7 300 programming, IPAF, City and Guilds in Industrial Maintenance and others spending at least ÂŁ9,000 in the process.

I have since done little temporal work which I would cram into about 8 months in the past 2 years but I'm having trouble finding permanent work. The work I did were in manufacturing environment. I have applied for several jobs but have not been successful often because I have worked on my own and not for a proper company and inexperience. I have also been declined apprenticeship due to my age.

Any ideas as to how to get a proper job would be nice. Is there anyone I could contact directly in the West Midlands to give me a job?

I appreciate you reading this and your contribution is appreciated.

sign up with indeed. they will send you daily emails of available jobs . a lot are agency, but there are also lots of permanent jobs posted.

Don't really know what to advise, you obviously are not looking for employment as an Electrician, why not try the likes of the MOD or where I worked as an Electrical Technician , the FCO Services, they are very diverse in their employment opportunities, the FCOS can be found on the internet very easily, give them a try you never know, FCOS @ Hanslope Park Milton Keynes, let me know how you get on.

They've been advertising on Indeed lately ,maybe they've not been able to fill your boots Pete.

What career / job are you looking for? Good luck but as Pete999 has intimated - from your qualifications, what is your ultimate aim?
Just read that 75% of the Royal Naval Fleet is out of action due to lack of man power. I've just about done 30 years in my current career and at 53 reckon I might sign up for an apprenticeship on missile systems!
