Can't stand these types of companies. You pay your fee's, get the lead. Cowboy/lowest charger gets the work.

Not quite the same thing but was a company that gave out jobs to electrical companies when I was in London. Set rates per hour + material costs...they'd pay 90% of materials. How does that work then, I pay 10% for gear that someone else gets!

Ive used rated people in the past and made afew quid on it. I never bothered renewing it though, as d80 said, you seem to be competeing with lads who are happy doing it ont cheap. Even when ive quoted as cheap as i dare, ive still not got the job.

And alot of the customers will go back to rated people or tell their mates to go there so you dont even get any repeat work or start a customer base from it.
