Hi guys,
I'm not actually an electrician but I was hoping that someone could offer some advice.
I'm a generator mechanic, and we control all our generators within an electrical switch room. From the panels the power moves through huge buzz bars across the roof and is the distributed among several breakers. This side of the room is the electricians responsibility.
What I would like to know is how safe this room is to use as an office. We basically have our computers and desks in the switch room and the constant buzzing is annoying. I don't think it is loud enough to be perceived as a H&S risk but I would just like to know if it is safe to work in there. The buzz bars above our heads are covered by a metal box and can't be touched.
Is there any issues working this close to electricity on a constant basis?
Thanks in advance for any advice people may be able to offer.
