would a pv system fitted on a school roof still get 41.3p if it is under a 4Kw system,

was not sure if it made a difference that is was not a domestic installation

Yes, the FiTs rates apply irrespective of the type of premises. The tax situation will vary through.

does the customer earn 41.3p for every kwh generated , id love a simple layout of a system and how much the customer would pay to have installed and the benifits it brings per year, roughly.. thx

There is no such distinction as far as the actual Feed in Tariffs are concerned. Domestic, community, commercial or industrial all get the same FiT rates based purely on technology type and installed capacity band. State aid rules would come into it but a 4kW system would generate income far below the de minimis threshold (subject to other grant aid).

There is a differant between FIT (feed in tariff) and Generation tariff. check them out on any greenenergy web site.

I agree that there is certainly a difference between domestic and commercial import tariffs - but that is not what this thread is about.

Feed in tariffs are based on total kWh generation of the renewable system and the rates apply irrespective of whether the property is a domestic or a commercial one.
