Hello, posting in the correct section as i'de like some sensible answers/suggestions :p!

I'm a fully qualified self employed sparky but have no knowledge of PV/solar panel systems. I understand you need to be part of a scheme (MCS?) enable to sign off work etc but I'm interested in doing a course just to gain some basic knowledge of these systems. I've seen the course "23722" pop up a few times, would this be the suitable course to take to get an understanding of these systems?

Thanks for your time.

I take it you mean C&G 2372!!!!
i did the course at Blackburn Collage (bit far from Devon), it was directed more towards the Qualified sparky and while speaking to the other candidates they confirmed that, as i'm not a sparky it was difficult for me but still managed to pass. I supose you will only do one course so there is no comparising, only comments on what they didn't learn.
I would go for the C&G, see what other replies you get and pull the trigger.
Good luck
