Wylex 100a DP Isolator (meter/CU)

Need to fit an isolator as above. Now not much room in meter cupboard (old radio teleswitch) to mount the isolator vertically. would there be a problem if i mounted the isolator horizontally? making sure the load and supply were correctly fed?

just dont want the dno refusing to reconnect ? or will it need to be vertical ??

usually would mount vertically as designed but in this instance horizontal is only way it would fit ? any ideas ?

Dont see why not, however the DNO are usually queer phukers

I dont think it would affect operation, after all we mount MCB's horizontally in a 3 phase board ?

Would a KMF type switchfuse be any better for you, or is it SWA you're terminating???

no not swa just meter tails. exisiting tails do not need replacing but theres not enough slack to accomodate fitting the isolator vertically and the teleswitch makes it very tight. fitted horizontally there is enough slack in the tails and teleswitch will not impede.
