Need to fit an isolator as above. Now not much room in meter cupboard (old radio teleswitch) to mount the isolator vertically. would there be a problem if i mounted the isolator horizontally? making sure the load and supply were correctly fed?
 
Would a KMF type switchfuse be any better for you, or is it SWA you're terminating???

no not swa just meter tails. exisiting tails do not need replacing but theres not enough slack to accomodate fitting the isolator vertically and the teleswitch makes it very tight. fitted horizontally there is enough slack in the tails and teleswitch will not impede.
