anybody installed this system yet, i have had a customer ask me about it saying it can switch all sorts of lights and fittings and appliances through the existing wiring of the house from the consumer unit without the need for new cables to be installed, i am quite surprised i have not heard of this, if it can really do what he says or is it a load of toot?

X10 is an old protocol and not very reliable, mainly because of interferance by mains harmonics , there are better systems available ( Rako,or Wyse the more affordable or GET if your desperate!)
If you want to spend more Lutron GRX or C-Bus or go mental and go KNX
