Y Plan advice

Hi all, just after a bit of clarification please.
Ive fitted a danfoss dual channel programmer. Ive had to link L-1 and also using 1 as HW OFF, to GREY, on 3 port valve
Is that correct ?
Also pump use to be connected to ORANGE, but as ive had to add Pump overrun from boiler,ive connected PUMP/ boiler direct to PUMP as the overrun would be firing boiler all the time ? Cheers for any help

You've linked permanent live to 1, and Grey on the valve is to 1 too?
You'll probably have to get rid of the live link from L to 1.
The pump over-run should be run from the 'pump over-run' output on the boiler, it should not be connected to orange on the valve.
Download the wiring diagram, and follow it closely.

Thanks Alanl , I've correctly wired the pump but the programmer instructions say it needs L-1 for 230v

Then pin 1 can't be the dhw off!

At a guess regarding your programmer, this may, or may not, help

I think the drawing I stuck up seems like the right one after looking at his OP again, it all seems to fit in, the colours are the same as is the programmer numbers, the only difference is the link missing but thats no big deal and easily sorted.

I did think that, but assumed his wiring diagram with his programmer said to do so, which to be fair was confusing, hence why I stuck a diagram up.

1 is HW off, 2 CH off which isn't needed on a Y-plan, 3 is HW on and 4 is CH on. HW off should be connected to the grey on the valve and N.O contact on the cylinder stat.

The wiring diagram of an LP522 does not say to link L to 1, unless they've put the wrong sticker on the back of it?
The terminals from left to right are:
Neutral
Live
1 - dhw off
2 - ch off
3 - dhw on
4 - ch on

The single channel version has a volt free output so would need a link from L to 1 for normal 240V operation.

little tip.I keep the drawings as above in a plastic wallet in the van door. It helps a lot for the various wiring plans to follow them.

Actually a good idea, that said after a while you won't need a drawing if connecting up heating systems regularly, but good advice netherless fella
