Is it possible to obtain a converter for this yellow fly lead to connect straight to UK mains socket?

It’s from an old Makita impact wrench that I got from eBay for next to nothing. I wanted to fix it up and use it to work on my cars.

Is the wrench practically useless in that case or is there some way to power it?

Yes it is called a transformer it reduces the 240v mains to 110v

Confirm the tool is indeed 110V on its rating plate. I've seen tools at auction with various incorrect plugs fitted.
