Love the B-17, personally prefer it to the Lancaster. I'll put on my tin hat and get in the air raid shelter.....

each bomber had it's advantages and disadvantages. lancaster carried a heavier load. B17 was better armed. why they didn't fit 0.5's instead of .303's to the lanc. is a mystery.

How dare you the Lanc was the best ever, yes the B17 was a good kite but better than the Lanc? don't think so,

Similar to how I'll end up on this thread, it would take some absolute punishment and still fly back home. The Lancaster is beautiful though.
