Hi all
I am working on a extension on a dorma bungalow, all lighting is led in 6 inch insulated ceiling so do to lack of excessability I am terminating switch wire etc in back of switch. I have put all new lighting and power circuits on serpate mcb but the passage of original builds is on the old circuit. Now they would like to be able switch passage light on/off at far bedroom I have run a strapper from light on old circuit to bedroom. Now my concerns or that there is two independent circuits in the back of one switch, my thought not ideal but is correct safe isolation is applied they it will be picke up also will note on sheet. Full cert for new circuits and a minor for hall alteration.
Hope that make sense guys
regards
dave

Absolutely nothing wrong with that. Anyone working on electrics should be aware of safe isolation. Just think of landing light and hall lights where they may be two wayed on different circuits in the sake switch.

and a label inside the switch would be useful. just a label machine and stick to back of back box.

But not done many domestic extension so treading cautious as I was get his next job too lol.
