Any ideas too many Zds now.How does that work say for a garden shed that you intend to TT?
Yes, with main earth conductor in situ , plus all parallel paths connected.I agree but not a abbreviation I ever quote. I believe it has been adopted where a true value of Ze cannot be established due to operational restrictions and the value is often referred to as Zdb which although often quoted is not a recognised abbreviation.

You will have a Zs for that distribution circuit, and the Zs for the final circuits fed from it will have no correlation with that (ignoring the fact that the phase (or line as it is called now) is common). How does that work say for a garden shed that you intend to TT?
What will be the Ze/Zs at the board? You will have a Zs for that distribution circuit, and the Zs for the final circuits fed from it will have no correlation with that (ignoring the fact that the phase (or line as it is called now) is common).
The Zs at the DB will obviously be via the spike. I really get the feeling you're overcomplicating this. I see no merit in a made-up term "Zdb" - Zs covers everything perfectly. What will be the Ze/Zs at the board?
Cheers Murdoch. Rcd is in main CU.That wasn't clear from the op.
So I would install and test the sub main first, including live tests...
Then move on to the dead and live live tests in the new building.
You need the ze + R1 +R2 of the sub main top check the Zs of the sub main (which is also the zbd)
Then you have the zbd +R1 +R2 and then the Zs ....
So one EIC, 2 schedules ....
Where is the RCD?

6mm SWAWhat cable has been used for the sub main?
