so been doing some checking on some notes i dont fully understand why the ze as a max level on a tncs system is 0.35 cause if you apply this to the equation if=Uo/ze it dont work to well it only works if ze is 0.04 thus giving you the 6ka reading rqd or am i not doing this right the reason i want to do it this way iam doing a pir with no power so unable to measure ze any help probably to tired an not really concentrating but any good slap in the face is welcome cause iam doing my nut over this ... ta

with no power, you can only perform your dead testing. why do you want to achieve a fault current of 6kA though?

Note dead testing only on report no need to calculate Ze, PFC, Zs

you could get a value for Ze by enquiry, then calculate the Zs values from R1+R2, but it's far better to do your dead testing, then get the juice on , and then do your live tests.
