A measured test shows a reading of 0.00 ohms. I have always when got this reading recorded it as 0.00 ohms on any test results sheet. As I have always believed it is a reading and must be recorded as such, I have also seen it written somewhere in either the NiCEiC Inspection and Testing Book or in some other reference.
Having a debate .... with my supervisor / principle duty holder who is arguing that must I record a measurement of 0.01.
I know at end of day splitting hairs on 0.01 ohms, but if anyone knows where this is stated or has their view let me know.

Confused what tests are you conducting? your title ZE,ZS, R1+R2 is a little missleading

It is because it cannot have zero resistance. unless it is a "superconductor", it is just too low for your measuring instruments resolution.

I was Taught to put < 0.01, or less than the whatever the lowest resolution of your instrument is.

First off, throw away your NICEIC book.

I was taught not to record 0.00 (essentially meaningless), put down 0.01.
I'm sure it's in GN3 somewhere, possibly an older edition.

edit, superconductor, Like it 68! :-)

even 1m of 6.0/2.5 will have a R1+R2 of 0.01.
