Have any of you knowledgeable people heard of znshine panels, any views? We've had a number of quotes for Sanyo, Sharp etc which (partly via this forum) I've heard of - but not the znshine panel which we've had a quote for. (11.6K for 16x250w, sma inverter)

Nope not come accross them, but a quick bit of digging suggest they started up in 1988 as a lighting company then moved into pv some time later - if your going down the Chinese route try CSUN listed on the NASDAQ and sell panels through CEEG SST, or try the tier 1 companys - theres only 3 - Suntech, Yingli, Trina solar - all good companys.

Thanks for the replies. After a bit of digging, well OK googling, I found a little more info - they claim 90% efficiency after 25yrs. Gallium mono cells.
as long as it hits the SAP calculation (the minimum), all panels are deemed the same whatever make you go for
Maybe - but it's performance when not under ideal conditions (i.e. most of the time!) isn't it that seems to be the differentiator, so I think it is worth considering different panels. Otherwise why do the pvsolar calcs that some have helpfully provided on here give different total KwH/yr for the same Wattage panel?
