Evening electricians.

This has probably already been covered but am gonna go for it anyway. Is it possible to get a Zs reading without cpc. The reason I ask, is today is undertook an R1+R2 test which had a visible cpc but open circuit . i undertook a Zs test, and got a reading. I understand both tests are measured at different voltages but confused, can any1 put me out my misery. Tnc-s system

went to a property once and got good Zs reading from A lighting circuit, there was no main earth in the property atall. so path from the bonding i guess.

Very strange because if you get a good Zs reading that complies with max Zs values then technically there is an earth but actually there isn't which is confusing

Also remember that if you are doing R1+R2 on switched circuits the switch needs to be on to get a reading!
Caught a few hung over people with that HAHA
