allo folks hope u's r well, my seaward multifunction tester has a function wen testin earth loop impedance that gives u earth fault current and then u push a button and it also gives u short circuit fault current so record which is the highest for ze ok but wen testing zs for eg on a lighting circuit does the same principle apply do u record the highest of the two readings or should it just be one or the other? thanks in advance for the replies!:D

You shouldn't need to record any fault current for a final circuit, this will be determined by whether your measured Zs is below the max permissible by BS7671:2008.

So only line to earth reading needed, :)
