allo folks hope u's r well, my seaward multifunction tester has a function wen testin earth loop impedance that gives u earth fault current and then u push a button and it also gives u short circuit fault current so record which is the highest for ze ok but wen testing zs for eg on a lighting circuit does the same principle apply do u record the highest of the two readings or should it just be one or the other? thanks in advance for the replies!
You shouldn't need to record any fault current for a final circuit, this will be determined by whether your measured Zs is below the max permissible by BS7671:2008.
So only line to earth reading needed,
many thanks yer a star lol
