Hi, Why do lights have to be removed to test ZS ? I can,t see how this affects the ZS test result reading and in the event of a fault, the ACTUAL earth fault loop impedance will incorporate these lights anyway ?
Please help!

Where did you get the 'remove all lamps' information from?

I think you're confusing tests!
 
Sorry guys, Have only recently passed 2391, the test I should have asked the question on was for continuity (test method 1)
This is the one I can,t see how it would affect the reading with lamps left in ?
 
If you follow the procedure as in main switch off, mcb's off then it really makes no difference and the lamps are probably shown as removed in GN 3 because a reading should be taken at each luminaire etc.
