If I was to install a new shower for someone using an rcbo as theres no rcd protection would this be ok? What i mean is am I ok as long as the circuit I have installed is protected? Or would it be up to me to make sure there was protection for the other circuits?

    supplementary bonding

Just another quick one on a CU Swap. no bonding to bathroom, ktc etc. If the circuit is protected by 30Ma and the Water and Gas etc are bonded and also .4 disconnection is met then no requirement for bonding. Do you N/A the box on the check list?

Hi there, when fitting a new s/steel kitchen sink and replacing a section of copper pipe with mdpe pipe do we need to supplementary bond between taps and original copper pipe or does the 30mA RCD on the ring main take care of that?

    Supplementary Bonding Connections to CPCs

Sorry for this dumb question. How are you meant to get a 4mm supp bonding cable into the terminals of, for example, a light fitting/switched-fused boiler connection when their terminals can't physically accommodate it? Does the answer lie in something to do with getting the supp bonding down to...

hi, have to wire up one of those whirlpool baths for a client. It comes with a 13amp plug and with reading the new rags I am taking it as that i can put an outlet or fcu under the bath, since its only accessible with a tool. Is this correct??? The whole board will be RCD protected btw. Or...

    Supplementary bonding

If installing a shower, is it compulsory to run a 4mm earth from lighting point to the shower? Obviously the shower circuit will have a 4mm cpc (10mm t&e). I understand that in an ideal world all extraneous conductive parts need to be bonded such as pipes but let's say that is all done and it is...

After some thoughts on this. Been changing a consumer unit at an old house. The cabling is mostly rubber with some pvc cables. All IR'd ok, but the lighting has no earth at light points and switches although there is one at the c/u. There are also some sockets on the lighting circuit that have...
