Anyone here any experiance as an oil rig electrician?

Just been reading into it latly and looking for more information into what extra qualifications u need.

bloody tricky game to get into, need off shore survival tickets medicals etc as you have probably read,,then just keep e mailing firms that do this type work, probably have to start at bottom maybe even working as dogs body to get foot in door,,,,looked into it meself few years back...good luck maybe log onto some rig forums,,,

Yea it does look difficult to get into i have seen, obviously the shift pattern must atrract most people like 2 weeks on 2 weeks off etc

You will need offshore survival and medical definetly . Compex is also pretty much a prerequisite . And get your cvs away to as much recruitment agencies and companys as possible .
