Ah thanks I think that's the one , how do ye remember all the names UY2 , id have to google it everytimeI've not heard of that type of cable but most telecoms cables I've seen come with some sort of rip cord inside it to split the sheath.
Could be UY2 connectors, also known as jelly crimps, used for joining small solid core cables

Cable is below , I think maybe that name not used in UK
It has a hard sheath and no rip cord
The sort of hard sheath that snaps off cleanly if ringed with shears?
Ya sticky glue it's hideous to work withI know what you mean now, that cable is hideous to strip, in the past I've ended up just chewing at it with cutters.
Is that the version which is also filled with some sort of sticky goo that gets everywhere?
