SPD Consumer unit

I recently had an SPD consumer unit fitted, twice now when I have been using the electric shower, power has been cut for a few seconds then comes back on. I don't think it's a problem with the shower as the light on the ceiling pull cord goes out as well. Any ideas, so I am pre-armed when I call the electrician, tomorrow?

If it is affecting more than one circuit it sounds like a poor connection within the consumer unit or at the service head/metering equipment. This needs investigating as soon as possible.

As its not that old. Call back the installer

Or if just the shower circuit it could be incorrectly located MCB on busbar, loose connection to mcb or neutral bar, loose connection within pull cord!

I always believed that once a shower circuit goes "left field" I would isolate it and ask for it not to be used . Just scares the jesus out of me when i hear people saying they are using "tritons " etc that are tripping MCB's etc . It is probably a very simple fix .But needs attending to
