Hi,

I'm splitiing a signal from my main TV Aerial using an 8 way booster which is located in the loft The Tv's on the longest cable run from the booster picks up all channels per the Freeview site. However my bedroom TV stuggle to pickup the BBC channels all other channels seem fine and the real strange thing is when I unplug the bedroom TV from the booster I still receive TV channels TV only connected to the cable. Any help would be appreciated? Thanks

If the TVs on the longer runs are OK, but the ones nearer the booster are not then you need to either 'not amplify ' the bedroom ones (maybe an amplified but good quality splitter before the amplifier), or use an in-line attenuator in the feeds to them. These are not expensive.

I know not very practical, but have you tried swapping the tv’s around? If the “good” telly works in the other rooms, then it’s likely not a wiring problem and as mentioned, the signal is just “too strong”

different TVs can tune the signal better or worse than others. Maybe there’s a telly on its way out? (Check it on the “good” line)
