Discuss SSE Delayed Payment in the Solar PV Forum | Solar Panels Forum area at ElectriciansForums.net

Hadn't received my payment cheque so rang SSE to see if it was in hand. Was told Na! They have changed their payment dates because their computers couldn't handle the FIT change to 45p. Got to submit new reading by 5th June to get paid a month later.

Would have been nice to have been told. I always pay them on time.

I have a few customers on EON complaining about late payment for FIT. One customer has sent a overdue payment request to them. Next they will threaten them of being disconnected from the PV plant ....that would show them ha ha ha...imagine !!

There is a 45 day requirement but they aren't keeping to it, I have told our customers to write to OFGEM.

This again adds to the conspiracy of Solar in this country.....something unhand has happened with the government and the big 6 !!

We chased the payment with EON and were advised that they are in the process of changing over to a computer system that will process the payments, when it is sorted, payments will be made 5 days after the reading is phoned in......................yeh right.

Time to show them your payment terms and start charging some interest, maybe send the debit recovery officers in!
Could also organise a phone number for them to ring that pays you money while you leave them on hold....Nothing quite like giving them a taste of their own medicine.

Haha yeh that's about right you can also now set up your own late payment procedure like them do

To be fair to Eon (one of ours is registered with them) we got an email from them as soon as we'd sent the reading in saying there would be a delay this time because they were changing their systems and they did apologise for it. They are loads quicker than EDF who our other one is with who regularly take over 2 months to pay.

Good: E.on paid my end feb. payment within 30 days.

Bad: I called E.on to give the next reading and they had no record of the 31st March reading I gave. Luckily I noted it down.

Provided SSE my meter reading on May 1st, the money was deposited into my bank account on May 22nd. I'm also an SSE Gas and Electricity customer.
