Is there a maximum length for track lighting?

Probably best off speaking to the manufacturer about this. Dont think there's anything specific about track lighting in the BBB but could be wrong

Mains track lighting , I have seen seem pretty long runs around shops

12v track will be pretty limited I guess to a few metres

They'd have a rating but it's all led now so the loading is small

Never heard of a max length. Longest ones I've seen is in shops, some 60-80m maybe more

What appears to be a long track can be multiple tracks with different feeds and some long tracks are mid fed to spread the load , you also get multi circuit tracks which change the load characteristic while appearing to be one long single circuit
