pocket door tiling

I'm converting a small bathroom in to a wet room. It has a sliding pocket door. I was going to tile the whole room with 600 x 300 porcelain tiles but the wall of the pocket door is extremely flexible. I'm an experienced DIY guy and have researched this project to within an inch of it's life but I'm unsure about what to do about the flexible wall. tanking and tiling onto painted plasterboard

Would like your opinions on this one please. Got a bath/shower installation to do soon, and the existing walls are painted plasterboard (not skimmed). The approach i would normally take is to remove the walls replace with Hardie and tank the wet area.

The problem I have this time is that the plasterboard is that eggbox stuff (Paramount is it?), and i don't really want to remove it. The paint appears well-bonded to the plasterboard -...

Hello, I'm having trouble finding any decent stockists locally. I've got a Topps very near, plus the usual generalists...

All the tile suppliers I've looked at in Chichester online, only show tiles, not all the unglamorous stuff like backer and sealing tapes & compounds.

Can anyone recommend a supplier in this area (Worthing to Chichester)?

First time doing a patio

Hi guys, had some great advice here before so thought I would ask here for advice again regarding porcelain patio instalation on (fairly flat) concrete substrate.

Tiles are 90 cm x 60 cm and 2 cm thick.
Area is 54m²

What is the best adhesive to use? I like mapei, used it in the past and tile mountain suggests Adesilex p4 20kg bags.

This Adesilex can be used as a self leveller too, but its expensive, shoukd I bother?

How many bags should I buy?

Tiles cracking and banging noises

Hi all
After some advise, got builder coming back today to investigate,

Everything they have done I have had problems with, from roofing to plumbing,

We have had our garage converted to kitchen, so they had to raise the floor area of garage with suspended floor to take it to same level as main house,

Best tile adhesive for outside?

Hi all

I have an exterior job coming up and want to use the absolute(tried and tested) best adhesive for it.

The job basically entails tiling brick-slips on WBP that are going to be attached onto a restaurant duct that runs up the outside of the building.(all designed by an engineer so they wont budge on the ply)

My major concerns are the movement in the ply and the frost resistance of the adhesive so I want the best. I was thinking about Kerraquick...

Moisture in floor advice...please

Renovated the bathroom on my 1970
bungalow last year. Took up the old pink floor tiles with sds. Chunks of what i assume is self leveller or maybe screed (?) came up with them.
Left with Concrete slab. laid insulated coated (cement topped) tile backer boards (marmox) using a thick amount of flexible tile adhesive to make floor completely level. Laid 6mm marine ply over top of boards and then vinyl (for warmth).
Fast fwd 12 months, pinky stains...

Tiling adhesive. Which is best?

Hi.
Just a quick question.
Which is best for tiling, ready mixed adhesive or powder?
I have ensuite walls to tile and within is a shower enclosure I presume you can buy a water proof adhesive.
Also, should I be buying some thing to water proof the area below the shower. If so, any suggestions. Don't wanna spend a fortune.
