you need at least 2 batteries though.
you will find that you get near the end of something then have to stop and wait for it to charge.
the 3amps take 22mins and the 4 amps take 30 i think.
i struggle to flatten a full one in under 20mins.
the only reason i havent bought any 4/5's is i have 5 3ah batteries which is way more than enough
3 in drill box, 1 in sds and 1 in radio
ill have to have a look at them, i would alter it to use different batteries if possible thoughJust registered it with Makita & now have 3yr warranty.
Ive also bought a 20w led work lamp (one of the yellow metal ones) which says it lasts for 5hrs on a full charge. I'll test that usage time as I know most last about 3hrs.

true but its not good as a site light, i get a better cone of vision from my headtorch. The Makita LED torch is a great bit of kit, only about £25 and lasts ages.
you can get battery site lights mate.Site lights aren't much good when there's no power on.
I find most head torches don't last long, good light and where you need it though. Depends what your used to using I guess

Here's the link to the light I bought - tested with what charge it had when delivered & got 4 1/2 hrs usage which was better than I thought I'd get. Will fully charge it & test again so probably will get close to 5hrs.

Update:
Well I'm testing the lamp to see how long on a full charge, so far its been going 5:45mins - am impressed it's still going on well pasted the 5hr mark.
