Samil Warranty over 2 months wait for a replacement.

Yes CE marked but there was always a risk of this. They were supplied by the UK's biggest PV wholesaler and a few others at the time but they pulled out of the UK market in 2016 after the big tariff cut.

Samil Warranty over 2 months wait for a replacement.

Anyone else going through this? I had a warranty claim (finally) accepted mid December but still no sign of a replacement. UK agent has been waiting for stock for months and there's a big list ahead of us. Poor service. Edit: At what point are they in breach of their UK/EU warranty...

I've had old style SMA inverters replaced on this error message. They like to blame everything else before admitting fault though.

Slate mountings for retrofit

Interesting, I've done a few GSE on new builds now and i agree. My worry with Retrofit is finding the felt in poor condition and having to re-roof the whole thing. Do you strip the whole roof and re-felt or just the area under the array?

New Builds and EPC's ... ...

I spoke to one of my DEA's yesterday who said that if the array is visible it has to be included in the EPC even if the system is not connected. It apparently can be put in as disconnected??? Does it matter if the PV is included or not if that the date on the MCS cert is after the EPC? Clearly...

I think a some of you were trialing VO at some stage, is that right? I've always been dubious of its benefits for domestic but I've just been sent a Project Solar quote showing over £7k in savings from VO over the Fit lifetime. Lots of other things in the quote that i know are exaggerated so...
